Do mother in laws give crappy presents deliberately?

Do mother in laws give out crappy presents on purpose?...What kick do they get out of it?
Why not try to get along with your in law?
Every year i get the ugliest hand bag you can think of.. This year i got a used bottle of cheap perfume...
I'd rather not get anything...
Every time i give her a present she never says Thank you.
 
I don,t think they do it intentionally. Maybe it did not meet your expectation of gift, but be thankful that you received anything at all.
Be thankful.
 
take the gift and stash it where you don't have remember their childish way. be a better person than them and be glad you didn't stoop so low.
