I don't really eat out that much except for fast food, but I went to a family type restaurant this morning thinking I was getting a "special."
But then they asked me if I wanted coffee. I said, "sure," but they added on heftily for it, thus nullifying the "special" price.
The coffee was also pretty bad and not flavorful. Of course, in the restaurant's mind this makes great sense, because they're able to increase their bottom line while luring people in with their "low prices." I believe they think that most people won't even notice, or pay any attention to the add-on charge.
Do the MAJORITY of family type restaurants charge extra for coffee, or is it complimentary?
