Do military pilots carry GPS/communication devices with them in case of an ejection?

What did pilots carry in Vietnam? What do pilots carry now?
I would think they would have a GPS device on them and a satelite phone. Do they have anything like that? Or is it just not that simple because of being detected by the enemy?
