do i still need to go for an interview at hollister?

I'm 16 and when i was paying for my clothes at hollister a guy from the cash register was like "blondie- hold up for a second" i thought he was going to try and hit on me or something hahah but he was just like- you have the perfect hollister- so cal look, would you like a job here? i told him i dont live in the area and that i was too young, but im just wondering- would i need to go for an interview still or since he wanted me to work there would i just give in my papers, w.ever and get the job?
