I have a 1995 Pontiac Firebird Formula v8 5.7L with 160k. My camshaft bearings are going bad (oil pressure drops real low). It'll cost me over 2,000 to have the engine rebuilt, not to mention I just had my cylinder heads done a year ago for about 2,000. Also its needed alot of work... all in all Ive put prolly $3500 in a $4000 car. My question is, I love the car, it has a brand new top (its a convertible), and it looks damn good, so do I cut my losses and get rid of it while I can or do I keep on replacing- knowing that eventually Ill have it just about rebuilt?
