Hi, I've been out of school for more than six months, so my grace period for my loans ran out on june. I had to quit school because it was too expensive and since I don't qualify for a private loan this year, it didn't cover this school year. I've been looking for a job but unable to find one, so I'm behind on five of my student loans for a month, and it looks like I'm not gonna be able to pay the loans for this month. I called Sallie Mae but I had to pay $50 dollars per loan because they're private, and I don't have the money.
I'm planning on going to a community college on january since it's cheaper than the one I went to. My question is, am I gonna qualify for federal loans if I'm behind on my other student loans?
