Do I need to have the blackberry unlimited plan for Boost Mobile for the 8350i?

I just bought a Blackberry 8350i, previously used on the Nextel network, and had it unlocked to work with Boost Mobile. I was just wondering if when I do activate it for Boost, do I HAVE to sign up for the "Blackberry Unlimited" plan for $60 or can I just do the "Monthly Unlimited" plan for $50?
