Do I need to have an evaporator service done to my 2003 Toyota Echo?

I just spent over $400 at the Dealer for the Major Service, plus a Fuel Injection cleaning. They then call me and tell me that I should have the Evaporator Service done, which would cost me another $200. I have never had this recommended, and the "guy" said I should have it done every year. But I've been taking it to this Dealer for several years now and NEVER had this recommended.
I'm not a car buff and that is why I am asking is this necessary or are they just trying to get my money$$?
 
You can do it yourself and more then likly there trying to get money.If your car not running bad I would say "NO"
 
Evaporator Service ? on what the air condition system? sounds like a money grab to me.
 
I have been working on cars now for over 30 years and I have never heard of this. And to charge $200 to do nothing to it? WOW, run from this Dealer, Run Fast. They want your Money...... Bad.
If it is not broke, Don`t fix it!
