Do i need to get my wisdom teeth extracted?

Im thinking about joining the military and i want to get my wisdom teeth out before i go. However, im 18 and ive had my wisdom teeth since i was like 15, they came in super early and have been all the way up for like 2 years. SO, do i need to get them extracted, or can i just get them pulled like normal teeth? thanks
