I am looking to start a photography business in Louisiana. I will not have employees, so I am wondering if I should even bother getting a Tax ID (EIN)? Also, I am not sure if Louisiana requires you to charge sales tax on photography services?? I am not incorporated, LLC, etc. I'm wonderinf if I need to get a business license, or where I need to start! Most of the photographers I know have "flat fees", and I don't recall seeing any mention of sales tax. So, can anyone clarify HOW this should be done?
