...American student there? I am an American citizen studying in Toronto next year. I plan on bringing my car from New Jersey, where it is registered. Since I will not be considered a permanent resident in Canada, is it necessary for me to get my car registered and insured in Toronto and get an Ontario driver's license? Also, would it be necessary for me to pay tax on my car at the border?
