Do I need separate recommendations letters if I'm applying to a regular

New member
college and a community college? I'm applying to a university and they needed three recommendation letters.

And other school was considered a community college in a different state and needed three also.

Would I need six total since one is a community school or just three?

(The community college wasn't on commonapp, so I didn't know what to do).
