I have TMobile and jailbroke my iphone, which is defective and has a problem with the microphone and signal (people can't hear me but I can hear them unless I push on the back of the phone which solves it temporarily...I know, sucks). Anyway, assuming I un-jailbreak it, wipe off jailbroken software and restore to a factor setting properly, can I just walk into an Apple Store without a sim card? Should I buy an AT&T prepaid sim card or can I borrow my roommate's sim card? Do they look up my name and phone number? Thanks for your help!
