Do I need a TV Licence if I just use my TV to play video games?

yes if the TV has a tuner capable or receiving transmissions , whether it is connected by aerial or used for that is immaterial . similarly Video and DVD recorders that can record TV programmes have to be licensed , to be free of the necessity for licence you would use a monitor screen not a TV
