Do I need a permit to sell my art on the streets?

I'm an artist from Minnesota and I do some stencil illustration paintings. I'd love to spray a few of these up and go to a baseball, football or sports game and stand out side and try to sell these. Are there any laws or restrictions? I'd hate to have my stuff taken by the police.
