My internet is from Cox cable and I have a Terayon cable modem connected to a linksys WRT54G router. They are all that is on top of a dresser in my room and my laptop+desk are at the opposite side of my room, maybe 15-20 ft max. My problem is that every once and a while my connection to the router continues to work but there is no internet access. I've played with disconnecting and reconecting power and it only comes back if I powerflush the router alone. could my router have had an overheating problem with age possibly? I have had it for a number of years.
