I have a 2008 Scion TC and it's approaching the 15,000 mile mark. I called to schedule an oil change and was told it would be $320!!! I was like, "For what?" The guy told me it's for the 15,000 mile maintenance.
They're going to rotate the tires, flush out the engine, etc. My girlfriend tells me I'm throwing my money away. That I'd be better off going to Wal-Mart to have my tires rotated and my oil changed for much cheaper.
So far I've had my car's oil changed only at the Toyota Dealership, that stamps my maintenance book stating that I've kept up with the regular maintenance of my car. Will this affect my warranty if I don't get this done? Will it harm my car? Is this absolutely necessary?
I appreciate any feedback I can get. I've scheduled it for Sept. 15th so hopefully I'll get answers by then.
