I just purchased a 07 Chevy Monte Carlo from an individual. My question is Do I have XM Radio??? When I press the source button, it cycles through CD/AM/FM nothing on XM. However, I have the little antenna in the middle back part of the roof and when I have the radio on FM and press the "CAT" button it says XM Feature. Do I have XM Radio?? Do I have the option to add like a module to my radio for the XM Radio?? Or do I need a seperate unit like I had in my previous car??? Any help would be greatful.
I know that XM is subscription based, I have XM on an aftermarket unit that I used in my previous car. I didn't know if I had XM radio or how to tell if I do as the CAT button shows XM Feature and the antenna I have on the back middle of my roof is a round antenna with a spike like antenna protruding from it - also known as a shark fin antenna. Is the shark fin type of antenna a XM radio antenna
I just looked at the fuse block and there is a 10 amp fuse where the owners manual says is for XM, don't know if it is for anything else besides the XM radio, but pressing the band goes CD - AM - FM - CD - AM - FM - ETC..... so I am like UMMMMM.....
