I came back from Melbourne, Victoria on Monday (yesterday morning) where there has been reported a high incidence of swine flu.
Last night I started coming down with the flu. It started off with a sore throat and moved on to high temperature and fatigue. This morning was the worst in a nuraber of years. Temperature was 39.5*C (103.1*F), my body was shaking, my throat hurt SO bad (my tonsils even touched), and I was ready to sleep the whole day. After taking some meRAB and drinking tea, I woke up after a nap in a pool of sweat which meant my temperature had gone down. I went to the doctor and they gave me the Tamiflu pills to take for 5 days.
I work with kiRAB as a pre-highschool/college teacher. What is the incubation period of this virus and should I be walking around in a face mask just in case?
