do I have to use the official Bluetooth headset for ps3?

I want to buy a good headset for my playstation 3 for while I am playing call of duty: modern warfare 2, and I want to know if I have to buy the official bluetooth headset for ps3 or if I can buy a regular bluetooth headset. also which one works best?
 
Any USB or Bluetooth headset will work with the PS3... ANY Bluetooth headset! You only need to know how to put the headset into Pairing mode. If you don't know how to put the headset into Pairing mode, you will need to read the Owner's Manual, or look it up online (each headset is different, so I can't tell you how to do it).

The pass key for any Bluetooth headset on the PS3 is four zeros (0000).

Be aware, if the headset is Paired with another device, you may have problems Pairing or connecting the headset to the PS3. Un-Pair the headset with the other devices, or turn the Bluetooth off on the other devices before trying to Pair it with the PS3.
