J j dddddd New member Feb 13, 2010 #1 Its a chuck pot roast. To me it seems like it has enough fat of its own to where you wouldnt have to use oil but then I am not a cooking expert. So I was just wondering if I can omit the oil when browning on the stovetop. Thank you!!!
