Normally when I go out to dinner with my partner, I will tip around 20% if the server is friendly and everything goes smoothly with getting our food in a reasonable amount of time. And I understand during busy times service might be a little slower, its not a big deal.
But one night I didn't tip at all because it took 20 minutes to get drinks, our food took even longer and was cold by the time we got it, we never got drink refills and I saw our server hanging out at the bar joking with friends most of the night.
Was I wrong to not tip at all or wa it acceptable in this case?
