Do I have to take the ACT to take community college courses?

Okay so I was signed up to take the ACT for today June 13th, but the admission ticket required a photo id, which I had just misplaced. I read it the night before my test. I couldnt take it I had no options. I was planning on starting school for the fall semseter in August, but the next test date isnt until September. What can I do? Do I have to start a semester later? Is there another way?
