Lots of people end up majoring in something or pursue a career that they had never even heard of during high school, so "No!" Not taking drama isn't a big handicap.
For some of the very best BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) programs in dramatic arts or theatre, competition is stiff and the applicants with more extensive training will be more likely to win a spot in the class through their audition. The advantage (or disadvantage) in those programs is that a huge percentage of your classes will be all drama, all day. But it sounds like you might not love that, since you're good at other things too, and you don't really need that kind of program in college. Most places that offer the intensive BFA training, and many more colleges that don't offer the BFA degree, will offer good BA (Bachelor of Arts) training in drama instead, and taking a BA program will expose you to a broad range of theater skills as well as many chances to perform and improve your acting.
