Do I have to pay for the mobile hotspot to tether my HTC EVO on Sprint?

I have the htc evo 4g through sprint. When I plug the device into the computer, I have 4 usb connection types to choose from, one of them is USB tethering. I was wondering if this was free as I have the unlimited data plan but dont pay the $29.99/month for the mobile hotspot.

Yes it will cost money....I would suggest downloading the app quicksettings (the green one) in the android market and open it then press the menu buton and scroll down to hidden then drag it up and press back and it will say mobile hotspot you can use that and it is free....once you've turned it on drag down the notification bar and then configure it.....you can name it what you want and put a password on it
