I recently quit my private tutoring job (on bad terms) because I just hated my employer. I tried to tell her I needed to take a break to focus on school because I`m doing really bad, and she just tells me that I can just do a re-lap year (basically fail gr. 12 and re-do it again) or I could take a break, and get no raise in the summer (even when the government says minimum pay will be $9.60).
This was my first paid job, so would I still need to include it in my applications to part-time jobs at department stores, fast food places etc. ? My previous employer made me sign some homeworkers form for something I don't even know what... so would potential employers be likely to do background checks and find out I`ve worked before?
If I HAVE to include this, my potential employers might not hire me if they call this lady because I`m sure she'll bad mouth me. I don't want to tell my employers what a horrible person my previous employer was either...
