MY ex is over $6,000 behind in child support since April 2010. This does not include another $2400 that he was supposed to pay from the beginning but never turned his paper work in to his employer. (i finally got a copy to them and it was garnished frim his check from jan 07- april 2010 when he quit his job to work for cash) his tax returns have never been with held for his arrearage from 2006. Now that hes another $6000 behind, will his refund for this yr automatically be offset or do I have to do something? Im reading everything I can find on it and 50% say its automatic and 50% say I have to file something with my case worker???
Do I have to file anything to get ex's tax return garnished?
