I am starting an online business (pet products) based out of NYC. I already got my Certificate of Authority to collect sales tax (I am a DBA sole proprietor). After reading articles online it looks as though I am not required to collect tax though. Do I have to collect tax? What are the rules?
Do I have to collect sales tax if I am an online only retailer in NYC?
