Do I have to agree to an injunction or can it be granted without my consent.?

My husband has made an application for an injunction against my son (his stepson). This is following an argument in which my son made verbal threats when my husband had him in a head lock then chased and threw a brick at him in the street. I disagree with an injunction against my son although behaviors on both their part were over the top. My son has received a letter to attend court.

Is there anything that I can do to contest this?
Does my son have to attend court?
Could the injunction be granted if I disagree as both my husband have joint home ownership?

My son is 19 and my husband applied for the injunction stating that he does not want my son in the house at all. There have been regular arguments however this is the first time that my son stood up to him and said something. Over time this has caused me much distress and yes has impacted severely on the marriage. Counselling has not helped as my husband refuses to compromise and likes to feel in control of my sons choices. His own 3 sons all left before the age of 18 as a result of his controlling ways. Earlier this year my son moved out and lives in a youth hostel as my husband had often told him to get out each time there was a disagreement. My husband resents that my son and I have a good rapport however when my son reaches out to him he is ignored and my husband would not speak to him for weeks.
