I awoke this morning, I felt really low*
I looked out my window, the darkness vanished deep within my soul
It's a new day I can change and rearrange anything I don't like*
I get a new start and If I want I can reach for the stars
It's a new day, things can finally work out my way
Livin' nightmare my life has been*
Always feeling like there's a battle within
Never feeling good but that's okay things work out in a strange way
I can be mad and complain about all the things that really get me down
I can cry and hide in shame*
But yesterday is a distant memory and that I can't change
Rise from, get up, let go*
It's our time now
