Do I have asthma? It usually shows when I play sport?

I don't suffer the symptoms normally from day to day but when I play sport, there are certain things that made me think I may have asthma.

I've ignored it for a few years but the symptoms are, when I'm playing sport for a bit, I get airy in the chest, it's sort of tight and I feel if I put my hand there, it'll help it a little. If I run for too long, I begin to feel like I'm going to be sick. I have to sit down and catch my breath. I take short, quick gasps in through my mouth.

I'm not sure if I'm just unfit or this is a result of asthma.. if I had asthma, I'm positive it would have showed up in day to day routine when not playing sport.. That being said, If I take too much alcohol, I will have an attack - I'm not sure if that's related at all. Quick, heavy breathing, can't control my breath at all.
