Hi All
I have just had my medical for the RAF and am fit and healthy apart from one thing!! When I was 15 I played in a volleyball team and sometimes became a bit breathless. I went to my doctors at the time who prescribed me with "sporting asthma".
I got the inalor but never used it. I have since never had any difficulties and play plenty of sport. Today I did the Peak Flow Metre test and the results were not good. I should be blowing 580 and I blew 420!!!! So I came home and used my stepdaRAB and blew between 450 and 500. The results on the web say I canlow up to 100 less and I'm ok.
I have no symptons of Asthma no coughing no out of breath no wheezing. etc. So do I really have it?? Maybe its best seeing my GP to get it sorted. Its just I cant join if I have Asthma and its really getting to me.
Is it possible to blow a lower result and still not have Asthma??
Thanks for your help - appreciated!!!!
