Just bought a home in Contra Costa, I have three children and a huge backyard. On a Saturday afternoon, my neighbor from behind us complained asking us to turn the noise down. My kids were playing in our backyard- they weren't in the street or playing on someone else's property?! But, I was nice and asked my kids to come back inside to play but it's bothered me ever since. My other neighbors say the neighbors in the back are constantly calling the police about the noise they make and I can't help but thinking this is wrong. I didn't move to this area to have to tell my kids they have "quietly" play outside or be discouraged to have a get together in my home for fear of an embarrasing knock on my door from the local police. Isn't there anything I can do??
