When I was in school, I was told I had in-comprehensive reading skills. That I was unable to understand the meaning in the text. I understand much better than before. I can not grasp the whole picture as fast as the average person, meaning I understand, but at a slower rate.
I also have trouble describing a picture. Which you may heard before, "A picture can describe a thousand words." For me to identify all the objects, with right spellings and pronunciation takes quite some time. I understand what the picture is, but for me to describe the picture is like figuring out a math equation. And I will explain why, I got to think of the word that describes the object, lets say the table. Then I would have figure out how to pronounce the word "table", And all other words that would be in the sentence. Memorize them all and say it. Now the average person can just say whats on their mind. The word is already there for them. I got to think of it. Average person already knows it. So when in a Social gathering or active place. I can only speak to people individually. I am unable to keep up with a group of people. I took speech classes. It wasn't trouble with a certain letter like "s" for example. More about recalling information I just learned.
Not sure on this one, I just throwing this subject in. I think the school first put in speech class because I had asthma back then that may have affected my speech.
The main problem that I believe I have is to grasp knowledge as fast as the Average person. I understand what everyone else understands. But when the information is new to me. I pick up slower on it than the average. So if I am doing something wrong in a relationship and I do not know why. Is mainly because I haven't picked up on it yet. Like I could be bullying someone without realizing it. That I may have just bullied someone when really I was making a joke and wanted them to laugh with me instead of them giving me weird looks. Which also affects me. Why I don't socialize as much is because people do not understand me. I am slow. Not stupid. Don't get me wrong. I got friends. But I do most of the listening.
Just explaining this is tough for me, for y'all to understand.
