Our local (small) Indian casino is giving away a car tonight (a Ford Focus). It's not done via drawing, but from writing an essay on why you need the car. Here is the essay I submitted, and tell me if you think I have a chance:

Why is a new car important to us?
Our current car has seen its day. There is nearly 180,000 miles on our car. It is time for a replacement. I live on edge with the realization that the next day may be our car’s last day. My husband does not drive due to his disability and I need a reliable vehicle to transport him to places such as the grocery store and to doctor’s appointments.
My husband is disabled. He is on Social Security Disability for a refractory seizure disorder and a bad back. He had brain surgery at age 16 at Gillette Children’s Hospital in Minnesota. This surgery successfully eliminated the seizures for a couple of years, but they have since returned.
My husband is my life. My husband is very important to me. We have been married for 15 years. We have no children. Our two female cats are our “children’.
I am the sole breadwinner. I have worked for the same company for 15 years. I drive 70 miles per day during the week to and from my place of employment.
A new car would not be a luxury, but rather would give us peace of mind in knowing we have a dependable mode of transportation.
