...behavioral issues or academic? Do high school guidance counselors spend most of their time dealing with social behavioral issues or academic issues?
I looked at this interesting article, a day in the life of a high school guidance counselor....
http://www.bcps.org/news/2007/School-Counselor/default.html
and from that article, it seems like they deal a lot more with social behavioral issues than anything that has to do with their classes.
I was surprised to learn this.........
I always thought their jobs were to formulate your class schedule and give you college career advice......
but from that article, they seem a lot more like clinical psychologists.
