Do Ford motor cars come glued together?

A piece of door trim started falling off my 03 Ford Fiesta the other day. I can now see that it was glued on.

Is this how the car was originally put together, or has someone previously "repaired" it?

It's not a supporting part, it's just the black plastic strip next to the window on the rear door.
 
Can you be a lil more specific when you say door trim? There are a few parts which come glued like the rubber beedings on the doors and on teh windows. When you say black plastic strip then it has to be the window beeding. Its actually clipped to the door. If it was worned out, then someone would have tried to glue it. Mind you apart from the Plastic strip that you find on the doors, there are no parts outside the car which comes glued. If you are talking about the interior of the car then someone has repaired it. Might be when you gave your car for servicing.
