Fish have a nervous system and feel pain. Hooking a fish then smashing it to death or letting it suffocate is pretty ruthless but that's how we get food. I agree with hunting and fishing so long as we eat the meat, use the hind and try make use of as much of the animal as possible. I agree with you, fishing is can be a lot worse but I guess people just Value the life and suffering of a deer more than that of a salmon.
