Land Rovers tend to. I owned a 1979 Series 3 land rover and the diff, gearbox and wheel bearings use to make so much you had to yell to talk to anyone while driving. Had a 1998 Range Rover from new and it started to whine after a couple of years when driving on the motorway. Now have Range Rover Sport and Turbos whine when under acceleration.
It is one of those built in charms when you buy one. It is like asking do british cars leak oil. The answer is always yes.
