Do Ducati's get stolen much?

this is probably the cheapest tracking system currently available (in USA).

i seriously doubt a tracker would stop a thief. once the bike is in the van, they could already be ripping off all the fairings to check for things such as alarms and gps tracking systems. since ther is not many places to hide something like that on a bike, its probably relatively easy to spot. once they rip it off, they can either destroy it or jus throw it out the window and you will never know where they end up.

These tracker systems are becoming very very popular on expensive bikes in this country - pretty much de rigeur on cars now. They're very small and even I, as the owner am not told where it is on my bike. The secret is not to advertise that you have one as they're pretty rare still, so thieves won't be looking for one necessarily. Some systems also alert you on your mobile the moment your bike is being moved. You can be onto those scrotes within minutes of piling your mistress onto the bike of their scrubby white van

i think its a good concept, but in reality i doubt it will do much good. if it does alert your mobile and you left your bike somewhere u could not see it, thats already enough distance for the thief to take off with your bike. it would take less than a minute for a group of muscular twats to lift a bike into a van and start dismantling it on the drive to wherever twats go. even if it did alert your mobile, i doubt you could get to ur bike and catch them in the act before they take off. and no matter how small it is, thieves know exactly what should be on a bike and what shouldnt. the moment they see something suspicious, they will rip it off. not to mention how easy it is to take apart a bike. cars give a lot more space to hide things but a bike is pretty much exposed. to me its just a marketing thing. like lo jack in the states. best bet is insurance and a prayer.

If you have enough money to buy the bike then you should have enough to pay for full coverage.

I dont understand why people who have new bikes get the cheapest insurance.

Full Coverage and nothing less for me on anything i own.
