I'm 16, turning 17 next year in the Summer. I'm studying hard for my GED.
I wanted to major in nursing, but it turns out I don't meet the criteria it takes to get into the RN program at this one community college I've been wanting to go to.
You have to have High school Biology with lab, High school Chemistry with lab, and High school Algebra I, which I don't have any of because I've never gone to high school, and it's too late now...
My other option would be to get into an LPN program, but that takes 12-18 months I believe, and for certain reasons I absolutely cannot do that. I have to get into college by next year.
I'm traveling from Florida to Maine.. And I'll be living on the college campus.
So I was wondering, in Maine, do their community colleges have pre-requisite nursing classes?
And if not, is there another major anyone would suggest that makes good money, that you don't have to have a ton of high school experience in?

(Please don't be rude and stuck up, and tell me I'm dumb for not going to high school. I was unable to get into it for very complicated reasons but I'm still striving hard to get my education, and attend the college I want to go to. And if you want to know why it's out of state, it's because my significant other of 1 year and 4 months lives in Maine. And I want to be able to go to college, and be with them. My education is important, but so is my mental health and social life, and my lover is the only friend I have. I've been suffering from horrible depression because I'm so far away from them, and if I went to college down here I wouldn't be able to function or focus right because I'd still be miserable. So if you can, please just answer my main question. Don't be snide or ridicule me because I'm seriously stuck and I need help on how I'm going to get into college...)
