Do colleges care if you play a sport?

How important is it if you play a sport?
Will it make much of a difference?


I play basketball but I think I'm not going to this year because I have a job and basketball takes too much of my time.
I am involved in several other activities so will quiting basketball make a difference?
 
Unless you are a basketball star, it should not make a difference as long as you have other activities.
The key is to show a variety of activities.
