natural, after the Fall? I believe in God but I thought that it was Heaven that was supposed to be in a non-physical and supernatural universe? In turn, we can only enter this universe as non-physical souls.
In this physical, natural universe we are natural beings who enter this universe naturally. We are born like any other animal and with organic, animal bodies.
However, Christians say that we are descended from two unnatural beings who entered this physical and natural universe, supernaturally? Indeed, they say that our natural planet earth itself was briefly an unnatural planet devoid of normal geology (which includes earthquakes and volcanoes) and normal weather (which includes storms and floods).
They believe that Adam and Eve were physical yet at the same time (until the Fall), they were immortal and indestructible?
I don't understand. How can something that is physical, be immortal and indestructible?
This is not a problem for God of course, since God is non-physical and therefore, timeless. Heaven, likewise. Only the non-physical has no beginning or end. This is why I was always puzzled at how Atheists could believe that our physical universe could somehow have no beginning as with the 'Steady State' theory of the universe. They have slowly accepted the Big Bang Theory, only because it states that our universe was created naturally. However, they (like religious fundamentalists) don't seem to feel that God could still be ultimately responsible.
Why do people (Atheists and some Christians alike) have a problem with this concept- the concept that God creates naturally, rather than supernaturally?
I know that with many Christians it's because of what it says in that old compilation of many books that primitive men long debated over and struggled with before voting on which books to leave in or out, known as the Bible.
Yet does respect for the Bible have to cloud ones sense of reason?
I know Atheists will say that simply believing in God is clouded reason but I disagree.
I feel that it is perfectly rational to believe in God. However, is it rational to believe that a man-made compilation of books, both historical and parable, is literally the word of God?
Khakidoo- we are now currently living in a perfectly natural universe, just as God intended. If there were no storms, earthquakes, disease or death, then it would be an unnatural or supernatural universe.
