Is the exhaust filtered or are the fumes just mixed with a large volume of air and then expelled out the chimney above the science labs?
If the fumes are not filtered, then isn't there a danger, under the right wind conditions, of the fumes being blown down to the ground in a high-enough concentration to make someone sick as they walk past, especially when using things like hydrogen sulphide or chlorine gas?
If the fumes are filtered, then how?
