I grew up around working Rottweilers (schutzhund) and when they were misbehaving you really had to take control, as many of you know,so they don't run all over you. My female,Dara(r.i.p) never held a grudge! Now that I'm married my husband came in the relationship with a labrador/dane mix. He's a great dog but if you fuss at him boy will he hold it against you! I said, "Duff! NOO!" yesterday cuz he was eating my husband's shoe and today he still held his nose up and walked away from me! Our shepherd mix puppy we just got, she is a little grudge holder too! Fuss at her today and you're not forgiven until you give her a hotdog. LOL So I was wondering if it's just in Rottweiler's breeding to not hold grudges or if its all a coincidence. Anyone else had dogs that held grudges?
in case anyone wondered, my shepherd mix's name is Carly. Duff and Carly were both rescues =)
bahahaha! the thought of my dog having lack of socialization is hilarious! I'm like one of those prissy barbie girls that carry a dog everywhere but my dogs are big. LOL
*and as far as bad breeding-gosh! who knows, they're rescues!
