Do cars really run on nothing but water for extended periods? I admit I’m highly skeptical. So, I challenge anyone to prove that it is or is not possible. Proof is NOT Joe Blow’s blog, or a YouTube video, but a reasonable source like a science journal, government agency, scientific organization, etc. I can state two reasons I am skeptical:
1) I am under the impression that hydrogen production is a net-energy loser, and
2) not one of the automotive X prize competitors teams’ websites have a car running on water: http://www.fuelefficiency.org/?q=automotive-x-prize (links on lower right side).
However, this is not proof. I'd like some authoritativ source that proves at least one of the claims is legitimate, or debunks them.
