Example: The .50 BMG can be fired from the Barrett M82 & M2 Browning. Does the round travel the same amount of distance and speed?

no

reason is some weapons are gas fed and they take some of the force that would go to the round and use it instead for ejecting and putting another round in the chamber.

that is why bolt action weapons are or were generally more accurate.

An M2 shoots at 2,910 feet per second, while an M82 shoots at 2,799

A Beretta M9 in 9mm shoots at 1,161 FPS, and an MP5 shoots at 1,312 FPS.

So it seems that within reason, they all shoot around the same.
