I'm 16 years old and my dream is to be a model! I live in MA and have gotten accepted into several agencies in Boston, however they want me to pay thousands of dollars for comp. cards and photo shoots, etc. Because they want so much money, my parents won't let me sign with any of them, but I don't blame them it was a ridiculous amount of money. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with any of the big agencies out there, or if anyone knew if you have to pay any fees to get accepted. Thanks :)

well i almost modeled for John Casablancas [ which according to them was like a branch off of Elite but i a really not sure ] but hte same ting happened to me - they wanted us to pay $1600 upfront, and then additional money for photoshoots. my parents also said no. i got really sad about that but o well. . i guess it just wasnt for me.

Go to the website fordmodels.tv the have a FAQ section that answers all your questions!

That sounds like some kind of scam... Being a model is a job, you're supposed to get paid to model.

I have experience with Ford and they didn't charge me any money at all. They didn't accept me though because I was too short haha =P
