Get Stale Overnight? New to the whole Beta Fish idea and would really like one since forever and am finally getting one. I have had other species of fish before and they require you to buy the aquarium ahead of time and let the water sit for a few hours preferably overnight or "get stale" as I call it. After the water has had a chance to sit overnight, then you introduce you pet fish into the water. My question is do Beta fish require this same type of precedure. I know that they come in a tank already but I would like to buy a flashy but not too pricy aquarium for it and use the one it came in as a back up for when i'm cleaning out the nice one. I just wanted to know what type of water it needs. Please help.
