I noticed that even babies and toddlers bounce around to music without ever having been taught to dance, like it's a natural instinct for people to dance. I was wondering if any other animals do this? I know that some animals can hear beats and that music can affect their moods in different ways but do they actually dance?

Bees, that's the only one I know.

Or you can get New Age and say that simply living is a form of dancing to the song of life, but that's a little out there.

Other primates like Chimps do NOT react to music the way humans do, and do not recognize the beat. Yesterday there was an article in the paper about a study done that showed that very young babies brains show activity the same as adults when listening to music, and they have the same brain response when a beat is missed.
So far as I know, no animal does the same, though some may recognize a beat.
